Excessively matronly
This maxi dress is most definitely modest. If you're not specifically TRYING to dress modestly, I'd give it a pass.The cobalt blue color is rich and gorgeous, and the material, though polyester, feels super soft and silky. The fabric has a heavier weight to it which is really nice for making the dress drape well. I ordered my usual size small, and it fit well though too long- but I'm short (5'3) so your mileage may vary there.It's just rather matronly. It looks like a super modest mother of the groom dress for an afternoon wedding, so I guess if that's what you're going for, this is perfect! T

This formal dress is actually very comfortable and flowy!The material is very soft and thick in the right way.The color is vibrant, and looks as pictured.I got it in an XXL (which is what I normally wear/or the equivalent to a 14/16 range) and I probably should have done an XL, it still looks good, just a little loose.It’s also well made and good quality.Good value for the price.Would recommend!Pulls on easy.

The turquoise is super bright and according to my husband "gives off aquatic vibes," but pairing it with professional earrings gave it a more grounded overall look that was flattering. The ruffles on the chest *really* aren't a good look if you are already even a little bit busty, but a single point stitch on each side, bringing the front edge of the ruffle under the arm, completely changed the look and made it a much more flattering dress (and I do mean just one simple stitch each side, like less than sewing on a button--I did it in the vehicle on the way while wearing it). This is one of those dresses that can do a lot without being fussy about it. The black is classic, the long length looks elegant, and the overall cut is flattering while still being comfortable enough to actually move around in.I also like that it is modest without looking old fashioned.
